Here's the alternative workaround to disable the Vista Driver Signature Enforcement (thanks to Derek Torres for the article). Note that, once you have installed your unsigned driver, you may wish to reinstate driver security, to prevent unwanted installations. There remains some doubt whether this works in Vista 64bit versions which are apparently specifically set up to only accept signed drivers.
